30-Day Loan Philippines: One-Month Cost & Legal Cap
Borrow now, repay when next month's money arrives. Here is what 30 days cost in pesos, and the legal maximum for each amount.
Published November 2, 2026
Thirty days is the loan most people actually picture: borrow now, pay it all back when next month's salary or remittance arrives. A ₱5,000 hospital deposit, a month's rent while you switch jobs, school fees before the scholarship lands. One month, one repayment, done.
Two facts shape a 30-day loan in the Philippines. First, legitimate loan apps do not write 30-day contracts: Google Play bans personal loans that must be repaid in full within 60 days, so their terms start at 61 days. You get a 30-day loan by repaying a longer one early. Second, 30 days is exactly the unit of the SEC's cost cap: for small loans, interest plus fees may not exceed 12% a month. That gives you a precise number to check every offer against.
Below: where to borrow for a month, what it costs in pesos at each amount, and the legal maximum for each. We checked the sources on 1 November 2026. This site is a comparison service, not a lender, and some partners pay us a referral fee when you apply.
Try a different amount in the calculator below. It is set to ₱5,000 for 30 days and uses a general illustrative rate, not a quote from Finbro; the lender's disclosure statement shows your real figure, and the tables further down use published rates and the legal maximum.

Where to borrow for 30 days
- Full repayment on or before the due date "without additional costs"
- Minimum payment moves the due date by 7, 14 or 30 days
- Payout to GCash, Maya or a bank account
- Rate and fees shown only in the application; age 20–70
- 0.4% a day, maximum APR 144%
- Repay early "at your own convenience", its FAQ says
- Age 21–70; contract term 61 days to 12 months
- 1 valid ID, no income proof, 18+
- Daily fee 0.23–0.43% for each day the loan is open
- Plus a one-time processing fee of 3.99–9.99%
- 61–180 days, 0.4% a day
- "1 Valid ID, no collateral or references needed"
- Uses SMS, location and app data to assess you
All four are on the SEC's List of Recorded Online Lending Platforms dated 20 October 2026. Before relying on a 30-day repayment, check the disclosure statement: interest should be charged for the days you use the money, and nothing large should be deducted upfront.
How much does a 30-day loan cost?
At 0.4% a day, 30 days come to exactly 12% of the loan, which is also the SEC's monthly ceiling on interest plus fees for covered loans. So for a one-month loan of ₱10,000 or less, the table below shows both the published price and the most a lender may legally charge.

| Loan for 30 days | Cost at 0.4% a day | Total to repay |
|---|---|---|
| ₱1,000 | ₱120 | ₱1,120 |
| ₱2,000 | ₱240 | ₱2,240 |
| ₱3,000 | ₱360 | ₱3,360 |
| ₱5,000 | ₱600 | ₱5,600 |
| ₱10,000 | ₱1,200 | ₱11,200 |
How we calculated. Loan × 0.4% × 30 days, the published daily price of Honey Loan and Cashalo, assuming interest accrues only for the days used and no upfront fee. For these amounts the cost is also the SEC maximum for one month. Above ₱10,000 the cap no longer applies; see our ₱15,000 loan guide.
What one month costs at Tala
On Tala's published ranges, a ₱1,000 loan repaid after 30 days costs about ₱109 to ₱229: a one-time 3.99%–9.99% processing fee plus 0.23%–0.43% a day, our calculation. The top of that range is above 12% of the loan. Tala's actual fees are personalised, so read the figure in the app before you accept.
Key point. For a one-month loan of ₱10,000 or less, multiply the amount by 0.12. That is the most a lender may charge in interest and fees for the month. If the offer screen shows more, do not sign.

Check your Finbro offerThe two rules behind a 30-day loan
Google Play's 60-day rule. Its Financial Services policy, checked on 1 November 2026, does not allow apps for personal loans that must be repaid in full within 60 days, and requires Philippine lenders to show their SEC registration number and Certificate of Authority. A website or APK that sells a 30-day contract is not automatically illegal, but it is outside that safety net. Check it on the SEC list before you upload your ID.
The SEC's monthly cap. SEC Memorandum Circular No. 14, series of 2025, in force since 1 April 2026, covers unsecured loans of ₱10,000 or less with terms up to four months. Interest may not exceed 6% a month, interest plus fees 12% a month, late penalties 5% a month, and all charges together may never exceed the principal. Upfront deductions count as fees. Our rate cap explainer has the full rules.
How to borrow for exactly one month
- Check the lender. Look up the company on the SEC list; our legit loan apps hub shows how.
- Prepare one valid ID and a selfie. See our documents guide.
- Read the offer as a 30-day loan. Find the amount you receive, the cost for 30 days and whether early repayment lowers the interest. Compare the cost with amount × 0.12.
- Repay in full on day 30 or sooner, through a channel that posts quickly, and keep the receipt.
Real scenarios
Joy, 33, OFW's wife, needs ₱5,000 until the next remittance in four weeks. She borrows from a registered lender and repays on day 28. At 0.4% a day that is ₱560, under the ₱600 monthly ceiling.
Ramil, 41, construction foreman, needs ₱10,000 for a month between projects. The offer screen shows ₱1,650 in charges for 30 days. That is above ₱1,200, the legal maximum for a covered ₱10,000 loan. He declines and compares other offers.
Cris, 26, call-center agent, repaid on time but the next month is tight. With Finbro he could make a minimum payment and move the due date 30 days. He uses it once, knowing the balance is still there.
When not to borrow. If next month's income is uncertain, a 30-day plan can become a 61-day loan with penalties. Wait until the job or remittance is confirmed.
Cheaper ways to cover one month
An employer salary advance costs nothing or close to it. The SSS salary loan charges 8% a year plus a 1% fee over 24 months, if you have enough posted contributions. Pawnshops lend against gold or gadgets with monthly terms; compare them in loan apps vs banks vs pawnshops. For lower published prices, see our low-interest loan apps.
Checklist before a 30-day loan
- The lender is on the SEC list and the app is on Google Play or the App Store.

- Nothing large is deducted before the money is sent.
- Early repayment lowers the interest, or at least costs nothing extra.
- You know exactly which income repays the loan, and when it arrives.
- You set a reminder three days before day 30.
- You never pay a "release fee" before getting the loan.
