This Privacy Policy explains how Online Loan in PH ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit this website. We are an independent comparison service, not a lender, and we do not process loan applications ourselves.

Information you give us

If you complete a partner form on this site, we collect the details you enter: your full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, and the loan amount and repayment term you selected. We collect these only when you fill the form in and tick the consent box — browsing the site does not create any such record.

We use your date of birth for one purpose: confirming you are at least 18, which lenders are required to establish, and passing that check to the partner. It is deleted on the schedule below.

We never ask for and never want: your government ID, payslip, bank account number, card details, online banking password, or any one-time code. No legitimate lender needs those from us, and if anything on this site appears to ask for them, it is not us — please tell us immediately.

Why we hold it and who we share it with

We pass the details you submit to the specific lending partner named on the form, so that partner can assess whether it can make you an offer. That is the purpose you consent to when you submit the form, and it is the only purpose we use the information for. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with partners you did not choose.

Once your details reach a lending partner, that partner becomes responsible for them under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to read it before applying.

Email from us

The partner form has a second, optional tick box for receiving occasional guides and offers from us by email. It is separate from the consent to share your details with a lender, it is never ticked for you, and leaving it alone has no effect on your application. If you do tick it, every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by writing to contact@onlineloan.com.ph.

How we measure the site

We count page views and clicks on partner offers so we can tell which information is useful. What is recorded is the page, the partner clicked, and the position of the offer on the page — and nothing else. We do not set cookies for this, and we do not store your IP address, your browser fingerprint, a session identifier, or anything else that could identify you or link one visit to another. That is why this site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

How long we keep it

Submitted details are deleted automatically 180 days after they are received. The deletion runs on a schedule in the database itself rather than depending on anyone remembering to do it. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will do so.

Your rights over your information

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you have the right to be informed, to object, to access what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased or blocked, to damages, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at contact@onlineloan.com.ph. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can. There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason to ask for deletion.

Where it is stored and how we protect it

Submitted details are held in a managed database provided by Supabase, which acts as our data processor. The site is served over HTTPS, submissions are encrypted in transit, and the database is encrypted at rest.

The database is configured so that the public website can only add a record — it cannot read, change, or delete any record, including the one just submitted. Reading is possible only through separate administrative credentials that are never present in your browser. Submissions are also rate limited.

No system is perfectly secure. The strongest protection we can offer is not keeping information longer than we need it, which is why the retention period above is short and automatic.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we may automatically collect limited technical information when you visit, including your approximate location (derived from IP address), browser type and device type, pages viewed, and referring/exit pages. This is used to understand site usage and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies or similar local storage to remember basic preferences (such as a previously selected loan amount) and, where enabled, to support analytics and advertising, including Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or manage cookies generally through your browser settings.

Third-party links

This site contains links to lending partners' websites. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policy and terms apply, not ours. We encourage you to review each partner's policy before providing any personal or financial information.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. These tools may set their own cookies and collect information in line with their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

This site and the loan offers listed on it are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function as intended without them. You can also opt out of personalized advertising using the Google Ads Settings link above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page, with the "last updated" date revised accordingly.
