14-Day Loan Philippines: Cash Until Payday

Short until the 15th or 30th? Borrow from a registered lender and repay on payday. Here is what two weeks cost in pesos.

Published November 2, 2026

Payday in the Philippines comes twice a month, on the 15th and the 30th. And the gap between them is where most emergencies land: the rent is due on the 5th, a child gets sick on the 8th, the motorcycle breaks down on the 10th. What you need is not a long loan. You need cash for about two weeks, until the next kinsenas.

The catch: legitimate loan apps do not sell 14-day loans. Google Play does not allow personal loans that must be repaid in full within 60 days, so the apps you know start at 61 days. You can still borrow until your next payday, though. Take a normal-term loan from a registered lender and repay it on payday.

This page shows where to do that, what two weeks cost in pesos, and how to keep a payday loan from rolling into the next month. We checked the sources on 1 November 2026. This site is a comparison service, not a lender, and some partners pay us a referral fee when you apply.

Why there is no 14-day loan app

Google Play's Financial Services policy, checked on 1 November 2026, bans apps for personal loans that must be repaid in full within 60 days, and requires Philippine lenders to display their SEC registration number and Certificate of Authority. That is why Honey Loan and Cashalo start at 61 days. An app or Facebook page selling a loan you must repay in full in 14 days is not one Google allows, and many such apps are not on the SEC list either.

Key point. A "14-day loan" done right is a normal 61-day loan that you repay on day 14. You get the same two weeks, and the contract does not punish you if payday slips.

How much does a 14-day loan cost?

14-day loan Philippines: cost of repaying on payday vs keeping the loan 61 days

Loan Repaid on day 14 Kept 61 days
₱2,000 ₱112 ₱488
₱3,000 ₱168 ₱732
₱5,000 ₱280 ₱1,220
₱10,000 ₱560 ₱2,440

How we calculated. Loan × 0.4% × days, the published daily price of Honey Loan and Cashalo, assuming interest accrues only for the days the loan is open and no fee is deducted upfront.

A lender with a one-time processing fee costs more for short periods. On Tala's published ranges, a ₱1,000 loan repaid after 14 days costs about ₱72 to ₱160: a 3.99%–9.99% processing fee plus 0.23%–0.43% a day, our calculation. See our Tala review.

Under SEC Memorandum Circular No. 14, series of 2025, covered loans of ₱10,000 or less with terms up to four months may cost at most 12% a month in interest and fees. On ₱5,000 that is ₱600 for a full month. A two-week offer costing more than ₱300 on ₱5,000 deserves a hard look. Our rate cap explainer has the details.

The payday plan: borrow on the 1st, clear it on the 15th

A two-week loan only stays cheap if it really ends in two weeks. This plan keeps it that way.

  1. Size the loan to one payday. Take your next net pay, subtract rent, food and fares, and borrow no more than what is left. On a ₱9,000 kinsenas with ₱6,000 of fixed costs, that is ₱3,000.
  2. Choose the payout you can repay from fastest. If your salary goes to a bank, repaying from GCash may need a transfer first. Plan the route.
  3. Repay on payday, not "after payday". Pay the morning the salary lands, before anything else.
  4. Use a payment channel that posts quickly. E-wallet and payment-center payments usually post fast; Finbro says bank transfers can take up to three working days.
  5. If payday slips, act before the due date. With Finbro, a minimum payment moves the date by 7, 14 or 30 days. With others, call customer service early.

Real scenarios

Anna, 29, teacher, needs ₱5,000 on the 2nd for her son's dental work. Her salary comes on the 15th. She borrows from Honey Loan and repays on the 15th: ₱280 in charges at 0.4% a day, instead of ₱1,220 for the full term.

Rodel, 36, factory worker, gets paid every 15 days but overtime pay is late. He borrowed ₱3,000 from Finbro and cannot clear it on payday. He makes a minimum payment that moves the date 14 days, then pays in full on the next payday. He does not do it twice.

Bea, 24, wants ₱10,000 for a concert ticket before payday. Her kinsenas is ₱8,500. A loan larger than her whole paycheck will not be repaid in two weeks. We would say skip it.

When not to borrow. If the 15th's salary is already spoken for, a two-week loan becomes a two-month loan. Talk to your employer about a salary advance first.

Cheaper ways to bridge two weeks

Ask HR for a salary or cash advance against your next payroll. Pawnshops lend against gold or gadgets for short periods; compare them in loan apps vs banks vs pawnshops. Checklist before a payday loan

  1. The amount is no more than what your next payday leaves free.
  2. The lender is on the SEC list and its app is on Google Play or the App Store.
  3. The disclosure statement shows how early repayment changes the cost.
  4. No big fee is deducted before the money is sent.
  5. You know the fastest way to pay from the account your salary lands in.
  6. You set a reminder for payday morning.
  7. You never pay a "release fee" before getting the loan.
