Loanonline Review Philippines: Is Loanonline Legit?
Loanonline is a free matching service, not a lender. Here is who runs it, what a loan through it really costs and where your data goes.
Published November 3, 2026
It is the 28th, your rent is due on the 30th and payday is the 5th. You type "online loan ₱20,000" into Google and Loanonline.ph promises a comparison "in just 2 minutes", loan limits up to ₱25,000 and no charge for using it. Before you hand over your ID and phone number, you want three answers: who is Loanonline, who actually lends you the money, and what will it cost?
This Loanonline review answers those questions from Loanonline's own website, its Terms and Conditions and a run through its application flow, all on 3 November 2026. Short version: Loanonline is not a lender. It is a free comparison and matching service run by a Latvian company, SIA JEFF. It sends your request on to partner lenders and loan services, and the lender you end up with sets your rate, fees and schedule.
Disclosure: Loanonline is a partner of this site, and we may earn a referral fee if you apply through our link. It does not change the facts or the math below.
What Loanonline is and how it works
Loanonline.ph describes itself as a service that helps you "find and compare suitable loans" from partner lenders. Its footer is blunt: "Loanonline.ph is not a loan provider and does not issue loans from its own account." Its Terms go further and call the business "an online loan brokerage platform designed to receive and compare credit offers", run by SIA JEFF, a company registered in Latvia (business number 43603085405, address in Jelgava).
The flow is short. You pick an amount and a term on the homepage, fill in a form with your personal details, and Loanonline shows you one or more offers. You then click through to the provider you choose and finish the real application there. Loanonline itself never sends you money and never collects your repayments.
What we saw when we tried it
When we clicked through from our own partner page on 3 November 2026, Loanonline's offers screen showed a single result: Binixo, with "up to ₱25,000" and payout "up to 5 minutes". That matters, because Binixo is itself a matching service, not a lender. In other words, you may pass through two comparison sites before you reach the company that actually lends. Your list can look different, because offers depend on your details and on who is partnering with Loanonline that day.

Is Loanonline legit?
Loanonline is a real, working comparison service with published Terms, a named owner and a contact email. It is not a lending company, and we did not find it, or SIA JEFF, on the SEC's List of Recorded Online Lending Platforms dated 20 October 2026. That is expected for a matching site, but it means the protection you care about sits with the lender you end up with. Before you accept an offer, check that lender's name on the SEC list using our guide to checking a lender, and see our list of legit loan apps.
Three things to know before you sign up:
- Your data travels. The Terms say your details "will be transferred to the Lender" and that Loanonline may share them with "third party(s) who are the Company's partners" to find you other loan offers.
- Expect calls and texts. By using it, you agree that you "may be contacted by any Lender/partner" in its network and that Loanonline may send you promotions.
- No responsibility for the loan. Loanonline says it is "not a party" to your loan and is not liable for approval, rejection or anything the lender does.
Want several offers from one form? Loanonline is free to use. Compare who answers, then accept only an SEC-recorded lender whose total to repay you can afford.
Check offers via LoanonlineLoanonline interest: the ₱20,000 example that does not add up
Loanonline does not set interest, but its footer gives a sample loan: you "apply for PHP 20,000 and choose repayment over 6 months, your monthly payment will be only PHP 5,000 per month, your total cost of the loan will be PHP 2,383 per month (APR = 143%)."

Read literally, that one sentence gives three different prices for the same loan:
| Reading | Per month | Total repaid |
|---|---|---|
| "₱5,000 per month" | ₱5,000 | ₱30,000 |
| "₱2,383 per month" cost on top | ₱5,716 | ₱34,298 |
| 143% APR, standard installments | ₱4,853 | ₱29,118 |
The last row is our own calculation: 143% a year divided by 12 is about 11.92% a month, spread over six equal installments on a declining balance. It is the closest to the ₱5,000 figure. Either way, a ₱20,000 loan at that price costs you roughly ₱9,000 to ₱14,000 over six months.
Key point. Loanonline's example is a rough guide at best. The only number that counts is the total to repay in the lender's own disclosure statement, which you see before you sign.
Does the SEC price cap help?
Only for small loans. Since 1 April 2026, the SEC's ceiling covers loans of ₱10,000 or less, for four months or less, without collateral: total cost of no more than 12% a month. A ₱20,000 loan over six months, like Loanonline's example, falls outside it. Our 2026 interest cap guide explains the rules in pesos.
Loanonline requirements
Loanonline does not publish one fixed list, because each partner asks for its own documents. Its homepage says that "depending on the provider, you may only need one valid ID and a selfie photo". In practice, have these ready:
- A valid government ID, such as PhilSys, UMID, driver's licence or passport.
- A selfie, taken in the app or website of the lender.
- An active mobile number and email in your name.
- A bank account or e-wallet in your own name for the payout.
- Some proof of income if the lender asks, such as a payslip, bank statement or remittance record.
You must be 18 or older and live in the Philippines to use our partner links; individual lenders often set a higher minimum age. Our documents guide covers what to bring if you are self-employed.
How to pay a Loanonline loan
You do not pay Loanonline. You repay the lender that approved you, through the channels listed in that lender's app or account, often GCash, Maya, bank transfer or payment centres. Check your loan agreement for the exact due date and payment options, and keep every receipt. If someone claiming to be "Loanonline" asks you to send money to a personal account, stop: Loanonline does not collect repayments. If you are about to miss a due date, read what happens if you miss a loan payment and talk to the lender early.
Loanonline customer service
Loanonline's Terms point users to [email protected] for account problems and concerns, and the website footer lists [email protected]. We did not find a phone hotline on the site on 3 November 2026. For anything about your actual loan, such as the balance, an extension or a collection call, contact the lender directly, because Loanonline is not party to the loan.
Is there a Loanonline app?
The homepage shows Google Play and App Store badges, but on 3 November 2026 they were not clickable links, and a Google Play search for "loanonline.ph" did not return a Loanonline app. Use the website, and be careful with any app that uses the Loanonline name without a clear link from loanonline.ph.
Pros and risks
| Pros | Risks |
|---|---|
| Free to use | Not a lender |
| One form, several offers | Your data goes to partners |
| Shows offers up to ₱25,000 | Offer can be another matcher |
| Terms longer than 3 months | Its price example is muddled |
Real scenarios
Rina, 26, BPO agent, needs ₱8,000 for a phone repair. She can go to Loanonline, but she could also apply directly to an SEC-recorded lender with a published price. At Honey Loan, new clients can borrow up to ₱10,000 at 0.4% a day; ₱8,000 for 61 days would cost ₱1,952 in interest. Going direct saves a step.
Mark, 34, delivery rider, declined twice this month. A matching service makes more sense here, because one form reaches several providers. He should still read the final offer and walk away if the total to repay is more than he can cover from two paydays.
Jen, 29, wants ₱20,000 to restock her sari-sari store. Six months at Loanonline's sample price would cost her about ₱9,000 or more. A bank or a GCash GLoan offer at a lower monthly rate may be cheaper if she qualifies, so she should compare totals first.
